Artemis Fowl is a series of eight science fiction fantasy novels written by Irish author Eoin Colfer, featuring the titular character, Artemis Fowl II. A teenage criminal mastermind, Artemis captures a Fairy, Holly Short, in the first book and holds her for ransom to exploit the magical Fairy People and restore his family's fortune. In the sequel, Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident, he allies with the Fairies to rescue his father from the Russian Mafia. The series introduces Artemis as an anti-hero and the fairies' enemy, but as the series progresses, he assists the Fairies in resolving conflicts with worldwide ramifications, with Artemis' character developing and changing throughout the chronology. The series concluded with Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian, released July 2012.
The series has received positive critical reception and generated huge sales. It has also originated graphic novel adaptations, and a film adaptation is currently in the writing process
Ya ever notice there are never graphic depictions of short fat ugly fairies--they're always drawn as lithe almost sexy looking things?

Mia & Me is a new kids show about fairies and fantasy. A human girl reads a book, and can travel to that story. Normal teenaged girl, but when she transforms into the cartoon fairy, holy hell! She is now wearing shear stockings past her knees, and one hell of a short dress. Crazy short. Yes, just a cartoon, but if ya see it, you will see what I did. Just strange?

I've actually been looking at this series on Audible. The only reason I haven't gotten it yet is that the audio of the books is in the 6-8.5 hour range for each. That's not even an entire days worth of listening while I work. I like my books a bit longer.

I was over my sister in laws house yesterday my niece was watching some tinkerbell movie/show/spinoff thing and there were a couple fat fairies in it.
God Mothers? They are normally plump so they give off that mom vibe. I think I know too much about this topic and will spend the rest of the night rebuilding a carburetor or whittling a cross bow with a bowie knife
