(Anheuser Busch/InBev--Busch Light reference) In other beer news Pabst, America's favorite crappy beer was sold to a Russian company this week.
Pabst, and all it's products (Pabst Blue Ribbon, CliffW's beloved Schlitz, Lone Star, Colt 45, and Old Milwaukee) were sold to Russia's biggest brewer, Oasis Beverages backed by TSG Consumer Products Group. TSG will take an undisclosed share in the Pabst/Oasis company.

Don't think I have not taken notice of this. The report I heard mentioned that Schlitz and two other brands were kept.

AFAIK Schlitz went with all of Pabst's brands. Maybe these new guys will actually put some promo $$$ into the brand and get its distribution widespread again. I would really love to be able to go down the street and get it on draft, instead of having to go up to Milwaukee or take the train to Chicago.
