But I’m the one controlling it.

I’m practicing some flight maneuvers. I was not using any telemetry on this flight… So no idea how high or fast it was going. I had a few close calls with some trees… Seems in a panic situation I get a bit disoriented in the controls.. I also tested the return home and auto land feature… it was off by several feet and gave a tree a bit of a trim during the last few minutes of the video… I need more practice! LOL!

In this video, the river is north. If you look north west in the horizon, you will see a tiny set of buildings (only a few pixels on my screen) those are the Parliament buildings about 15 miles away. Pretty cool!

So, return home worked well it seems. I ran across and issue with the same model but the return home didn't work as well. I need some time to troubleshoot and verify it is getting all the GPS signals, etc.

Yeah, it sorta worked... I did expect it to have a +/- of a few feet but it was more than I expected.... Good to know for picking a home point for my next flight.
If you run the DJI app on your smartphone, it will tell you how many GPS locks you have.. I average 13-14 and that seems perfect.. It starts getting sketchy at 7....

My son has this one to play with:

Yup, and that is part of the problem, I think I am getting less than that

So what kind of feedback do you get from people when you fly? In most cases, people love it! They ask me what it can do, how high it can go, etc… Then you have a few of the “do you use this to spy on people?”. Oddly, no one ever concerned about a crash landing… IMO a much bigger threat than “spying” LOL! I would not want a drone to the face!
