OWN your life.
The good, the 'bad'. all the crap that you've done and that has happened to you.. OWN it. accept what you have done. own it, and then leave it home. Be done with it. stop carrying it all around all day. like keeping the keys to the car you no longer own. Stop trying to constantly distract yourself from being "present". from being alone with yourself inside of your head. Once you take some time to be alone in the attic of your mind, look through some of the old dusty boxes. all the grief and crap. It's holding you back.
Jot it down so the part of you that doens't want you to forget about it is satiated. then move forward.
AUgment your World. Your little piece of it. Make it better.
A buncha ways you can do it.
Might want to
Work at making your "better" self.
Earn it.
Start small -
Change ONE small thing. Make sure you make the change permanent. move on to the next small thing...
Today might be bad, but tomorrow MIGHT be better.
Like Tom Hanks said in Castaway - see what the tide brings tomorrow...
You are are going somewhere, the stream carries you along. The more aligned you are with your purpose, the more automatic things weill become, it'll free up your mind to contemplate higher things.
Teacup ride.
As a kid, you may have let your parents control the teacup. You might not have even been big enough to reach that wheel in the center. But now, you're older (or bigger, at least) and you'rve waited on line, and now, you climb into the teacup. The ride begins.
You start to figure out h how things work. If you tug at the wheel, you start to spin. If you don't put in any effort, your individualteacup will barely spin,You will go around and around in dizzying circles along with the ride, but you don't have control, and will be bored, or get sick. or both. Some people ride this way, and at the end, didn't enjoy the ride. But you decide to grab the wheel and tug. You find It's easier to spin it one direction, and by timing things right,it becomes very easy to spin your little teacup. you find your groove, you move at a rate where don't get sick, but instead feel wonderul experiences. Spin yourself too quickly, and you may get sick, though.
You learn to find your pace.
If you choose to go the other way, it's hard. very hard at first. but, as you put in more effort, you can begin to move and it bgets easier and easier. But the initial effort takes all the strength you can muster. and then *wow*, everything is SIDEWAYS - moving in all new ways!
Perhaps you didn't get on this ride alone. After all - "the ride's more fun when there's more than one". So others clamber into the teacup along with you. The ride starts up, and here's lots of tugging, shoving, G forces toss you all over the place or squash you like a bug against your neighbor's shoulder. There might be someone who makes the teacup move in ways that get you sick. Maybe they do it on purpose. You decide that you won't ride with them again. But some folks make great companions.
You need to find folks who will ride in your teacup and spin it in a manner which you'll all enjoy . There may be times when you get a little dizzy, or get sick but hey, that's life, eh?
Life's a LOT like that Teacup ride.
Hmph. Time for Lunch.
