Have you ever wanted to run a four-minute mile? Now you can. The video above shows the 4MM (or, yes, 4 Minute Mile), an Arizona State University student project "to create a wearable jetpack that enhances speed and agility."

Working with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and a faculty mentor, ASU student Jason Kerestes built a prototype of this jetpack as part of a university program called iProjects, which "brings students and industry together to find innovative solutions to real-world problems," like how to run super, super fast.

Kerestes sees a potential application in the theater of war that he explains in the video below: "If you think of a Navy SEAL or Army solider that has to get in somewhere quick, do whatever they have to do, and get out just as quickly, these devices can help soldiers not only accomplish their goals, but potentially save human lives."
