When replacing a I. A. C. valve on a 2004 Sunfire, is there a pre adjustment to be made like there is on a Fiero IAC?

Don't think so, pretty sure it's just a simple R&R.

I went to the local Chevy dealer and he printed out the replacement procedure which states to match it up with the old one.
Install the replacement IAC.
Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
Start the engine and check for proper idle operation.

Should be plug and play, but in case you want to check it, the distance from the mounting flange to the tip of the pintle should be no more than 1-1/8". Assuming this is the 2.2 ecotec, which I believe what was in all 04 Sunfire's and Cavalier's.
