Vauxhall is a rebadged Holden... Holden is Australian and Vauxhall is the European counterpart. The bulk of the Camaros chassis was designed by Holden. Just as the GTO is a rebadged Holden Monaro and the G8 and new Chevy SS are rebadged Holden Commodores
At the last autocross I was at, a fella from the local Corvette Club (hosts of the event) was asking to stick his GoPro camera on different people's cars. I posted the video he recorded of my '88 Formula in This thread.
He also put his camera on a Gen5 Camaro SS. The first half of the video the camera was pointed at the front wheel, the second half was of the rear wheel. Take a look at that rear wheel and post what you think is going on. Almost looks like 4-wheel steering!
What you are seeing is then result of flex in the rear subframe bushings. There are a few companies making stiffer bushings that keep the rear under control, and show a noticeable improvement in handling. This is something I want to do in the future. The extent of my suspension improvements has been to install sway bars from an SS. It was a nice improvement.
