My first attempts to adjust sight, up or down only. Had a great time.

50 yards with SKS, 15 rounds, after sighting at 25 yards.

100 yards. Took about 45 rounds to get this. Usually too high and to left. Above the shoulder shots were the last 12.

The guy next to me had a custom tuned Remington 700 with his on hand loads. He was checking FPS speeds. I said, " what, the deer are complaining? "

He was probably checking the consistency of his hand-loaded ammo.

I've got a savage arms axis xp in 223. Big scope and bipod makes for a fun range gun. Have you tried a sand bag to work on trigger pull, etc?

That's what I was thinking. Knowing your muzzle velocity is necessary to complete your balistics equations and the more accurate your velocity record the better you can adjust your powder charge which will reduce your controllable variables and allow you to shoot a more consistent shot group.

Didn't buy it for it to become life itself. It's already a fun gun.

I was going to say,

"What no head shots !"

But then I scrolled down and see you made some. Iron sites I take it? At one hundred yards I prefer a scope of any magnification over iron sites but if that's what you were shooting with, nice shots. If not then you should have set your scope at 100 yards, that's what I always sighted my scoped rifles at anyway.

Anything closer than 50 yards I use my iron sights !

Good shooting there Tex !
