WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' faith in each of three major news media platforms -- television news, newspapers, and news on the Internet -- is at or tied with record lows in Gallup's long-standing confidence in institutions trend. This continues a decades-long decline in the share of Americans saying they have "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in newspapers or TV news, while trust in Internet news remains low since the one prior measure in 1999. . . .

Gallup Poll summary continues with data plots and liberal vs. conservative breakdowns

Another interesting takeaway from this survey: Self-identified political conservatives trust in newspapers has tied its all-time low — 15 percent — while confidence among self-identified liberals, though still down over the last 10 years, is more than double that of conservatives: 34 percent.

Sounds about right.

All of todays news except for one cable channel you have to pay to get is a arm of the Democrat party and cover for Obama. The LA Times is a giant advertisement for the Democrat party, Any news unflattering to the Democrats or Obama they just don't print or broadcast.

I guess you are a Fox News watcher. Remove the political talk and occasional "breaking news" of current events from some police chase in LA.
Deep down, Fox News as a news organizations really sucks. There is no in-depth journalism or investigating reporting. The rest of the cable news networks are just as bad.

Yet, somebody like you watch Fox News and Ray B's of the world watch MSNBC for political leaning purposes. But neither gives you any relevant news.

I choose to believe the truth. Everything else is just crap.

I have felt for quite some time now that the ability for us to instantly see other's problems is not healthy. Too much info for our tiny brains.

Headline news "HLN" used to be my news of choice.

At the time it rotated a 30 minute headline news format, much like watching the 5 pm news, but was available 24/7.

Spend a half hour watching news/sports/weather then move on.

Headline news had ONLY news void of commentary crap or any of that other crap they show today. Just hard news stories, sports and weather. then repeat.
