A young Muslim IT manager in India was fatally beaten by suspects linked to Hindu fundamentalism, amid sectarian tensions sparked by a Facebook post, police told local media.
Mohsin Sadiq Shaikh, a 24-year-old from the Solapur district of the city of Pune, was attacked with sticks and stones on his way home from prayers on Monday night by men who had been publicly protesting the circulation of offensive images desecrating two historic Hindu figures. . . .
Hey guys, I'm desperately trying to show you that it's not only Muslims who are fanatacal , vilolent savages[/URL]
Woa! with this latest post, you have FINALLY convinced us. We all now fully embrace Islam, the Religion of Peace (and puppies, and unicorns and shiny things that smell nice.)
There's no shortage of religious fanatics out there, doing fanatical things, but it'll take a LOT more examples until you even begin to lift up that purple block that is ISLAMIIC TERRORISM See fig 1.1 "seesaw of violence":
(note: All other Terrorists are on the otherside.)

Fookin' pagan savages.. why don't they just ban all further publication of the Rig Veda?
No no... this was "workplace violence", not radical extremism. You're being insensitive.

The "nation of Islam" is a misleading phrase.
I posted a fair number of Muslim scholars and clerics who cautioned Muslims against using violence to react to perceived provocations, such as the caricatures of Mohammed that were first published in a Danish newspaper, and the Muslim-baiting YouTube video that became a news story just about the same day as the murders of four Americans in Benghazi. They said that they wanted to communicate non-violent alternatives, based on foundational texts and teachings, for Muslims to rally around; as an alternative to violence, and to just trying to ignore or look past these perceived provocations.
Same thing with these Hindus. As the report describes, a leader of one of the fundamentalist Hindu organizations in that area called for non-violence.
Some people never seem to get the memo.

The story was originally reported in the Indian Times and the India Express (news organizations).
I don't know that there has been a voluble outcry over this from the "nation of Islam": no reaction significant enough for the front page of the NBC or FOX News websites.

I have read English language reports from three different websites of India's news organizations.
The India authorities were able to have the Facebook post removed, even before this violence. The police have not revealed anything about where the Facebook post originated or anything about the persons behind it. Professed Muslims? That would be the obvious hypothesis, but the police are not ready to divulge.

I wouldn't call it inconsistency. I commented on the initial post. You commented back with a well thought out reply. I had already lost interest because these subjects are "same sh!t different day" . I wouldn't have replied again but it was brought to my attention that you are using my actions as an example for others.
