This is the dilemma....I use the GPS function on my Iphone 4 from time to time and it works but the sound is woefully inadequate. I literally have to roll the windows up and even then I have a hard time hearing the instructions. Before you ask my radio does not have an aux jack or USB. (Reatta's have a bizzare GM din size, 1.5 making available radio choices very slim) Anyways, do they make a simple battery-powered speaker that I can plug in to my IPhone (non wireless) so I can hear the GPS instructions? Anyone else have this problem ?
Thanks, Kit

I have a Mophie case that directs the speaker forward. I think that helps some.

An adapter to fit a 1-DIN into a 1.5 hole is only about $15. I have a Kenwood iPhone-ready in my Sierra and it works great.

I too have a problem hearing my phone without amplification. So I use a BlueAnt. It connects to my phone by Bluetooth and is plenty loud, especially since it is mounted on my visor.

I dont have a problem hearing anyone talking on a cellphone. My BIG gripe is none ring loud enough. I just got a Samsung Galaxy and its barely loud enough to hear ring sitting beside me on the couch with the tv on. Forget it outdoors. I know they can do it since my Casio GZ (and 1/4 the size) rings loud enough to hear from 100' away. I have no problem hearing it ring in a convertible on the freeway. I dont give anyone the number for the Galaxy for that reason...I know Ill miss their call. As for voice in GPS, my regular GPS (i have 3 different ones) are barely loud enough to hear with windows down either. I usually just leave the voice option turned off anyway because of that.
