The Republican party, generally speaking, does tout these values. It's when you get corrupt individuals in office who nudge croney-capitalism. At the very worst, it is still better than the Democrat philosophy of socialism. Once in a blue-moon... you get someone like John F. Kennedy who supports free-market capitalism. Even individuals like Bill Clinton who are willing to work across the isle to support a free-market society (with reduced federal spending). But when you get people like FDR, Carter, Obama... you see what the REAL root of the Democrat party's ideology is... and that is control.

Can you tell me why this was said? Because it does not remind me of anything, and I am the one you called out by name?

You're confusing me being "dishonest", "inappropriate", or ill-informed with me criticizing your double standard. Do you not see it? Our political system is gridlocked and failing not because of evil republicans or evil democrats, its because of a polarized, low-information electorate that willfully does not see and understand the opposing side's viewpoints.

And by the way, Johnson got about 3% of the vote, and those were primarily at Romney's expense, not Obama's. Which just further supports my statement about conservatives bailing on the GOP.

Johnson got more GOP votes than Democrat votes because Johnson's views were more closely aligned with Romney's. Johnson ran as a republican in the primary and lost if that serves as an indication.

Besides, 3%? Romney got 47.2% of the popular vote. That just proves MY point that most conservatives continue to stick with the status quo, just like democrats.

Holy crap. The title of this thread is so apropos. You've been caught being blatantly dishonest in how you quoted me, and even still you want to try to deflect or mislead. Wow, the party taught you well.

Should have quit while he was ahead. That's what hanging out in a room full of liberals will do to you. 80 point drop is average.

Not meant as an insult, simply a critical analysis of your comments over the past several years.

Utter bullzhit. Now the Dumbs are whining about the Select Committee. First they wanted equal representation on the panel ... when Nancy never allowed that. Now I am hearing the familiar allegation ... racist, war on women, for the rich/against the poor, the Repugs are playing politics, .
If you don't like the game, get out of politics, . That's what both sides of the isle do. They are politicians ... hello ?
