Read this text before watching the video; F-35 unintentional loop at takeoff on a carrier.
This guy clearly has brass and you know the sailors on the flight deck had a cow when they saw this unfold in front of them. Intentional? Hardly! This is unbelievable! F-35 unintentional loop at takeoff. A real "check your laundry" event. A supremely well-trained US Navy pilot, ice running in his veins instead of blood, fully regains control of his $70 million, F-35 joint strike force fighter, after a problematic vertical take-off attempt... Watch as the rear vertical thruster fires to cause the problem. There's nothing about this the pilot enjoys. If he could have ejected at 100' upside down and lived, he would have. Looks like the afterburner kicks in while still vectored for vertical takeoff. Lockheed would call this a "software malfunction" and do a little more "regressive testing". This is a good demonstration of power-to-weight ratio of this aircraft! And talk about stability control... wow! If he didn't come out of the loop wings-level, it probably would have been bad news; maybe taking some of the carrier with him! Add to this flying through your own exhaust, which can lead to equipment malfunctions, as in "flame out". The F-35 is single engine aircraft with vertical takeoff/landing capability, but it has the aerodynamics of a Steinway piano at zero airspeed. This is the most unbelievable piece of flying you will ever see in your life. This guy's coolness saved a 70 million-dollar aircraft! On the other hand, he might not have had time to react to anything except just ride it. I bet you'll watch it at least 2 times!
The above is from an email I received. OK folks, I've been fooled, this is from a video game and I didn't see the clues. It's fake. Just call it like it is. I don't play video games.

Hmm, well I've been had before. If true, sorry about posting it.

LOL. 260000+ shares, I can't believe people think thats real- but most people can barely tell an F35 apart from a toaster oven anyway.
Thats from BF3, I'd pull those kinds of moves all day long for fun. Unfortunately they made things a lot less fun in BF4 when it comes to the F35's "special" abilities.
Damnit William, 2 minutes late lol.

Never played any of those games, feeling a little foolish that I was had but, you live and learn.

Hey Ron don't feel bad! I watched that video about 10 times because I knew something was off. See im a 60 mech and I know the differance between a h-60 seahawk and a uh-60 Blackhawk. Well those are blackhawks because they have the tailwheel in the normal location. The seahawk has the tailwheel further up the tailboom to help make space on the carrier deck. Also seahawks are have their blades folded when aboard a ship to make room. Then I noticed the health bars lol

Don't sweat it , I was just a little sad because its been a while since I saw anything really awe inspiring when it comes to aviation- especially relating to fighter jets.
Apparently, several times. Ever tried to teach an old dog new tricks?

That would have been an 'outside loop' if real. The question would have to really be does the name apply to a vertical take off aircraft the same way. If a pilot really did that over his carrier, he would be in serious trouble and probably be kicked out of the service. He couldnt claim a malfunction.
I'm not an expert nor do I play these video games but it took all of about two seconds to realize the picture was computer generated and not real, and that's without seeing the bars at the bottom of the shot. Not bashing, but really?
Seems this guy has a lot of fake stuff on his Facebook page as well as some really bad stuff, and even some real stuff that is just tragic. I looked at some of his videos, he has a crap load.
now this one is not safe for work, if you have kids in the room or are just squeamish, its real, its scary, its bad and it just goes to show how a prank can be so very tragic that you just shouldn't do things like this to some people.

now if you still want to see it, you have been warned, don't biatch at me,

What can I say, you're more enlightened than I am. At least in this area. {{{{{Shrug}}}}}

You are probably way younger than blackrams, have far more experience with computer animation, and think a good deal faster. Other than that, I think the two of you are interchangeable.

Well, you win. Congratulations on your awesomeness.

Carrier deck was way too "clean". No other aircraft, no personnel, and the ciws just looks way too funky but the most glaring clue is that you can tell right off, this isn't the USMC stvl F35B variant. For vertical takeoff, there is a big cowling right behind the pilot's canopy that has to be opened for the vertical power turbofan to get air. You can't miss it on the real thing. It's not shown in the video during vertical ascent.
The final version may have cowls that open to the side instead of toward the back of the ac.
The F-35C (USN) version doesn't have the clutch operated turbofan, and thus no stvl capability.
