In all fairness its not "Teabagistan." It is Afghanistan. The Tea party has no connection to the Taliban, Al-Qaeda or any other political entity on that side of the world.
If we are to make PFF a better place, a little respect goes a long way.
/rant over.
That goes for both sides of the aisle.

Didn't Maryland dump their exchange also like over a month ago?

Right about the time they passed a bill allowing men and women to determine which public restroom they want to use based on how they perceive their sexuality.
Wifey has already told me will will NOT be stopping for pee breaks in that state so either pee in Virginia or wait for Delaware.
You keep posting that video like it is so clever, and you just make yourself look stupid.
If you get past his HILARIOUS point, you get to his "substance in the last 45 seconds.
Here is what he SAYS.
The democrat plan is:
If you have health insurance, we are going to make it better.
If you don't have health insurance, we are going to provide it to you.
If you can't afford health insurance, we will help you afford health insurance. Ok, how did he and his party perform?
Well, they wound up having people have much higher deductibles, while at the same time having higher payments. That is "better". Thanks.
And on point 2, what, 2 million that didn't have insurance wound up actually on it?
And helping people afford it. Well, you made it more expensive, so thanks for that. But you never cared anyway because "we will help you pay for it"? Uh, we will confiscate money from other Americans to pay for it. How magnanimous.
His and the democrat plan was SO bad, that even the extreme left bastion of Oregon decided it was unworkable.
So with serious things going on in the country, and a serious failure of the democrats to improve things, and with them actually making it way worse, yes, please trot out your HILARIOUSLY scathing video again.
Because it is just SO clever. He he. See what he did there? He said don't get sick, and die fast. He he.
Does the "no' party have a better plan? Well. no. They don't.
quote
Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) struggled to articulate a credible GOP alternative to the Affordable Care Act during an appearance on Fox News Monday morning, promising only to replace President Obama’s health care reform with “legislation that does give people more opportunities” and “better ideas.”
But pressed by host Bill Hemmer about how Obamacare would “change” should Republicans reclaim the Senate majority after the midterm elections, Portman could only offer a critique of the existing law. He argued that reform does not cover enough Americans or allow people to keep their existing health care plans. “I personally think it is a failed model. We have to put in place better policies that allow people to keep what they have and allow people to get coverage who can’t afford it.”

They really don't.
BUt is that surprising?
I mean these are the same people saying that regardless of its problems and the problems it causes it is a step in the right direction. Besides the party of "no' didn't have anything, At least we came up with crap.
Progressives don't need to know or care what they are doing. They just need to doo. Lots of doo doo.

The Dumb's had no plan when Nobama, Pelosi, and Reid seized power. It took them two years to hobble one together, which barely passed. Which turned out terrible.
Does the "no' party have a better plan? Well. no. They don't.
Yes, they do.
Doing nothing instead of having Obamacare, is better than Obamacare.
Regarding having "a plan", the democrats didn't have a plan either. They had a series of stated goals. That's all you have time to present in a news clip.
Then when any reasonable person would ask specific questions about how would anyone actually be able to accomplish these grandiose plans, we got lame answers that were obviously unrealistic and had no chance of working. Which was pointed out. Which was then branded as politically motivated obstructionism instead of just pointing out reality.
Regarding having a "plan", uh, having to pass it to find out what is in it ISN'T A PLAN.
You want to applaud the democrats and president for their "plan"? If you have a plan, then you DON'T NEED TO BLATANTLY CHANGE IT OVER 30 TIMES BY EXECUTIVE ORDER.
You don't have to spend a year PROMISING that it isn't a tax, then have it winding up going to the supreme court, and the ONLY reason it weasels through the court by 4 to 3? By the technicality that IT IS A TAX.
You are going to criticize republicans for not having a plan when the democrat plan was make a bunch of promises and tell a bunch of lies to just get it passed, have years to get it set up, fail at a level that even liberal bastions find it unworkable, and then bypass congress to change over 30 times the very law that you commissioned they ram through without them even knowing what is in it.
That's a "plan" you can get behind?
The reason the republicans don't have A plan, is because the republicans don't have a king. They believe in governmental rule. They would work within congress and have debates and have many people contribute to a plan. They wouldn't have one dictator have his incompetent flunkies take his "ideas", throw together some unworkable piece of garbage, dump that garbage in congress' lap, tell them they have a super majority so pass it, have them pass it so they could see what was in it, have it be unbelievably unworkable, and then have the executive branch usurp the legislative branch who was supposed to change the law if it was to be changed but they are running for cover because they never actually made the law in the first place so go ahead Mr. Dictator and illegally change the law because we are unelectable in the future.
And you are fine with all that because he is your guy? Fine. Nice american citizenship to hold the government accountable to following the constitution.
But then to blame it on "the republicans have no plan" because you can't find a 90 second video clip that outlines one? One that counteracts your brilliant 2 minute Grayson clip?
Republicans have had and continue to have plenty of realistic plans to deal with health care in this country. Communication of such a complex issue doesn't translate well to your choice of obtaining information, and the complicit mainstream media doesn't want any part of letting the american public know what those plans are.
So, yeah, let's just continue the affordable care act. We don't actually know what that IS, since it keeps getting changed on the fly. How many more executive orders do we have to go?
It's not that the GOP didn't have ideas to formulate a good plan with, they as a whole just suck at Politics. The GOP plan was simple: 1) allow insurance companies to compete across State Lines to force real competition to drive down rates (tried and true principle of macroeconomics) 2) Put caps on how much people can sue for to drive down the cost of malpractice insurance (they have this in Germany where the Govt. runs the healthcare ironically) 3) Give a tax credit to low wage earners to offset the cost (this way they have to spend the money on what it was intended for not drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, (insert any other self destructive addictive behavior you can think of that I missed), etc... Unfortunately for those who identify themselves as Republicans, you don't seam to have a Politician who can articulate those points that also meets with the Bankers approval.
As a politically independent I am all for the above plus: 1) Subsidization of MED School for future employment at Hospitals/Medical Centers most in need of Doctors (you know, like they do future military officers with ROTC) that way the Doctors don't have to start their careers $200k + dollars in debt to the bankers at 8% interest. 2) Mandate that each insurance company has to insure a certain % of "Un-insurable Persons". This way all of them have to insure them equally to ensure a level market place playing field while ensuring these folks can get some insurance. 3) Subsidization of each un-insurable person to help keep the overall costs down and incentivize my previous point to further ensure the folks can get insured.
