I did massive tweaking in bios, I readdressed IRQ's, tested slots, and finally took my computer completely apart and added hardware & memory one at a time.
No help.
I then searched everywhere (EVGA don't have them) for older BIOS.
I found them and started backwards-flashing these BIOS:

E175_SZ1B
E175_SZ1D
E175_SZ1E
E175_SZ1F
E175_SZ1G
E175_SZ1H
E175_SZ1I
E175_SZ1K

I got it to work on E175_SZ1E.
The newest BIOS is E175_ SZ1K.

So now I just gotta' work them forward until the soundcard don't work no more then jump back one.

And yes, the sound this card produces is indeed remarkable.
Almost worth the hassle.

That's good to hear. Just don't tell the wifey, or that computer rebuild might get shelved.

I know, but I have to tell her.
Trust is everything.
I gotta' give what I expect to get.
I'm not fuggin' up my marriage for anything.

But she probably gonna' end up letting me do it anyway.
Because there's no law against me acting pissy until I get my way.

After all, I learned that from her!

Somehow, I knew you'd figure it out.
Congrats!

Edit - I would look at what the BIOS upgrades were designed to "fix".
If the upgrades don't have any effect on your particular system, I might be inclined to leave it where it is.

Yeah, but i'm always that guy.
Why can't I be the guy that knocks it out of the park, first time out?
Stupid brain.

You coulda got lucky, I suppose, and had it work the first time you plugged it in. but then you might have made a simple (seemingly unrelated) change and it might have stopped working. Then you would have been even more confused, and wonder what you had blown up.

But the truth of the matter is that most people aren't lucky all the time. But some (like you) have the determination and the ability to figure stuff out. You create your own luck.
Nevermind that this is a piece of hardware that most people wouldn't bother with. And you made it live.

I've come to the conclusion that this guy is a myth.

Men like to pretend to be this guy, just to make each other jealous.

Yeah, it's a nForce pci-to-pci bridge issue:

Man, lifes way to short to not enjoy great-sounding music!

Xonar Essence + FLAC + Sennheiser HD598 = Pure Bliss
And that's on the cheap (around $300 bucks)!

I wonder what a full-blown-money-is-no-object headphone system must sound like...

Aha, So,

Your PC got harshed, right, 'cause your

system heaps at the wrong parameter.

So l toasted the dated directory,

tweaked the P-RAM...

and reglazed your subroutine.

Nice going Crawl!

Because you don't just go to a store and buy a 'ready-made' pc. You build your own...

(not that you don't have issues with those 'store-bought' machines as well)
