PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has suggested that the Washington Redskins keep their name, but change their logo, from one indigenous American (a native American warrior) to--well, another one.
It's all crap an I applaud Dan Snyder for his steadfastness, however. the name will change when ----- This years super bowl is outdoors in NY in the winter. If and when it is deemed a success all 'northern open stadiums' with a community base that can support the game will become eligible. Dan will want the game and the commissioner will say --Love you Dan and we want YOU to have the game BUT the NFL cannot stand the heat your team's name brings. Change the name and you will get the game in 20??.

I think they are actually a group of cool people, who sit around, get drunk, watch sports, and say "What can we think of next? LOL I can't believe they fell for that last one! Let's say they should change their mascot to the potato. Ridiculous, right? I love it!"

Hmmm. I thought PETA stood for People Eating Tasty Animals. Could be why I got dirty looks when I walked by their last rally with my plate full of ribs.
