I think you're too stuck in thought, rather than making decisions Boonie.
None of this has anything to do with the IRS, and while you certainly have every right granted to you from Cliff Pennock to talk about flowers and rainbows in here, the fact is... this is either an extreme case of ADD, or some sort of deflection.
Not trying to be a dick here, but all of your posts are either deflection, or somehow defending Democrats. I don't know why, and don't really care... but the "I don't know any better, or hold any personal views" argument is kind of nonsense.
It's good that you're "not trying to be a dick here" in your hypothesis of me. I'm even more sure you actually believe it.
A Nixon comparison right off the bat and the talking points counter.
Then fast forward to about the five minute mark when he gets asked "why are you here" in respect to the WH trotting out some low level talking points spokesman.
Originally posted by dratts: Thanks for your very gracious replys to my post. I have absolutely no belief that Obama or the democrats can or will fix our financial problems. Unlike some of you, I also have no confidence in the republican party either. In my opinion our system is broken and corrupt and I see no indication whatsoever that it is improving at all. It just seems to get worse and worse and there is no alternative system available that I can believe in. I believe that our system of government is the best in the world, but it is getting worse and worse every year. I want to be optimistic more than anything in the world, but I don't see good in the pipeline at this point and I don't see any indication that there will be. I'm sad.
I know that you have a lot of time invested in this once great nation. I have been plugging along also for 54 years. I am not sad. I am mad ! Livid actually. Pissed off. There is an alternative system available. The our system of government you describe as the best in the world I do not see being discarded by "we the people".
One of the bizarre permutations of the ongoing IRS scandal is the manner in which the agency made the story public. As you'll recall, the revelation came in the form of IRS official Lois Lerner's response to a question asked at a public Q&A session with the American Bar Association. National Review's Kevin Williamson quickly surmised that the question itself may have been coordinated in advance to give the appearance of an "unplanned," and therefore forthright, public mea culpa. His suspicions were confirmed by acting IRS commissioner Stephen Miller during last week's House hearings. The source of the supposedly impromptu question has since copped to her role in the scheme as well. But what remained unresolved, though, was the issue of who dreamed up the secretive plan. Until today. Take it away, Stephen Miller: "I'll take responsibility for that...[it] was an incredibly bad idea."

Don't expect to hear much condemnation of the IRS actions from the left. In fact, they were even eager to sign a thank you letter to the IRS for their targeting of conservative groups.
IRS’s Shulman had more public White House visits than any Cabinet member
157 visits compared to 1 for Bush's appointee. Yet Obama knows nothing about the many scandals coming out of the IRS. As Bill Cosby famously said, "Rrrrrrriiiiiiiigggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttttttttttttttttttt."
IMO, they should really be charged individually as individuals. They used their positions to break the law so the government should not be paying their defense bill. This would also help send a message, a message that might help stop this activity in the future.
So, Nobama's team management stooge replaced the ousted IRS Director, with the promise that he was gonna get to the bottom of the IRS targeting of the right. SURPRISE, . He now reveals that the terms "progressive" and "occupy" were also targeted. Call me a skeptic.
The original scandal is getting more juicy. Another pleads the Fifth, top most official left when it happened, got her azz reamed in Congressional hearings today, and no support of the claim of liberal applicant "be on the look out" prejudices.
Maybe it's time for us to investigate the IRS instead of them investigating us. I would like to see heads roll. There had to be lots of people who were aware of this. And some incompetent ones who had no clue.
An IRS employee tasked with trying to restore and obtain emails on Lois Lerner’s IRS computer’s hard drive was legally blind. ... the government confirmed that the IRS employee searching for the lost data was legally blind.
But DOJ lawyers representing the IRS and the Treasury inspector general argued that Mitchell could not even discuss the existence of the storage facilities in her capacity as a lawyer.
“The Department of Justice lawyers objected to that and said I shouldn’t even be allowed to mention these off-site servers without sworn affidavits,” Mitchell told TheDC. “They meant that I was trying to testify to the judge without bringing in witnesses with sworn affidavits.” Mitchell’s motion to get an independent forensic examiner was denied.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed Monday that President Obama is "very interested" in the idea of raising taxes through unitlateral executive action.
"The president certainly has not indicated any reticence in using his executive authority to try and advance an agenda that benefits middle class Americans," Earnest said in response to a question about Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) calling on Obama to raise more than $100 billion in taxes through IRS executive action.
"Now I don't want to leave you with the impression that there is some imminent announcement, there is not, at least that I know of," Earnest continued. "But the president has asked his team to examine the array of executive authorities that are available to him to try to make progress on his goals. So I am not in a position to talk in any detail at this point, but the president is very interested in this avenue generally," Earnest finished.
