Since this morning, the server has been unreachable for several minutes to over an hour for a few times today.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on but it looks like another DDos attack on fiero.nl specifically. I'm currently investigating and hope the issue will be resolved soon.

Is it just a bunch of script kiddies, or is there a more opportunistic reason why your server is getting hit?

Skype crashed for several minutes at work earlier around 4:00 PM EST, and several websites (including this one) were unreachable at the time.
