Good evening, everyone. I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but I thought it might be since this topic is on selling spare parts. I was just wondering how well spare parts for Fieros sell these days. I have the opportunity to pick up 3 parts cars for $1500, one of them being a V6 with 400 original miles on it. I was planning on tearing them apart and selling the parts. If I end up buying the 3 cars and parting them out, will the parts sell? Thanks.

It's gonna be a bunch of work - especially if they've been sitting in a field and are loaded with rust, bugs, or varmints.
You will almost certainly make your money back, but I won't even guess how much time you will have invested in taking stuff apart.
Also, you'll have to have a place to do all the disassembly.

The really "in demand" pieces are fastback GT tail lights. IF they are not cracked or delaminated.
88 brake calipers, engine cradles, and suspension pieces are also uncommon. 5 speed manual transmissions for the V6 (aka "Getrag") are also popular, if they're in good shape.
84-87 calipers may be starting to get uncommon, depending upon who you ask.
Interior parts, especially trim, are useful.
If you've got T-tops, the rubber weather stripping will likely pay for your entire purchase. A complete T-top kit/assembly most certainly will.

When you get ready to sell, pictures and location will always help.

If you want to start selling parts, the first thing you should do is update your profile so people know where you are, as local pickup is best for large heavy parts.

Shipping costs have been increasing and shipping large heavy parts across the country can approach being double the cost you will pay for these 3 cars. I shipped a 48x52x24 crate that was under 500 lbs to CA and it was just under $3K for shipping.

Add in the time to pull the parts, clean them, take pictures, post them, answer emails, be ghosted more often than not, source boxes and packaging, ship the part, provide tracking, etc... even a $5 part can have $25 to $50 in processing and shipping cost.

We have a lot of PFF members who are selling Fiero parts....

Some reported they're 'in trouble' to cover the cost as a 'business'.

Some only offer local pick-up, especially on larger parts.

And as mentioned, SHIPPING is a huge part of selling, which many owners won't spend on that cost.

To me, it is more a passion than getting rich...
