Need a nice temperature control cable for my '88 GT... or a how to repair thread for the end at the HVAC control head. Due to an improper cable routing years ago during a heater core replacement, the screw mount clip on the controller end of the cable broke off.

The cable overall length eyelet center to eyelet center is about 37" with a 32 1/2" long jacket.

As always my thanks!

It looks like something common to push lawn mowers.

Just throwing the idea out there.

In the 22P catalog calls them "BOWDEN WIRE REPAIR" / GM 6258364 Cable Assembly, Special
Obviously, you want a RED, not blue or green {they're the same p/n}

On eBay, I saw a green but not a red...

EDIT - look at the GM 6258364 Cable brackets on eBay; perhaps you can find one to repair your cable...

Thinking about it, cables such as that are common on motorcycles.

You might check with NAPA auto parts. They sell stuff for farm tractors and beyond. I once got a bearing to fix a spindle on my riding mower, instead of having to replace the whole spindle.

Two PFF members sell Fiero parts and perhaps they might have the HVAC cable:

Your best bet would be to 3D print one. Then you can customize it to make it stronger in some areas.
It should be straightforward:
