Thanks for reaching out IMSA! You helped me figure out exactly what I needed!
Just incase anyone finds this thread looking for the same thing, here is what I found.
Long story short, after much research and contacting people, I found out that the 2.5L has a camshaft thrust plate but the 2.8L does not. Instead the timing sprocket bolts right up to it, however, on the rear of the engine, there is a camshaft cover to help keep oil in which is what I ultimately need.
