Looking for a good rear decklid rubber seal. This is the one that is right over the front exhaust manifold touching the rear window glass. One of mine has rotted out.

The seal's rubber must be nice and soft. Thanks.

Reinhart,

I don't know if the guy (whose e-mail is in the first paragraph of the link which follows) is still making these.....but the one I bought years ago for my '88 GT still works great! Link for source and installation of water diverter:

I contacted him a while ago about it. He said he no longer makes it. So, it's up to you to make your own.

If i remember correctly that strip was removed during a recall. It could build up water and dump it on your hot manifold if you opened your deck. This caused cracking of the manifold. The aftermarket design doesn't dump the water like this.

The guy that made the water diverter was Mike Freed. It looked like a strip of a flexible heating/air duct material. These are typically used to connect air ducts to a furnace plenum to prevent metal to metal vibrations. Should be easy to duplicate and will channel away rain water but will not look original.
