Did you all install it without modifying the original sheet metal location? or did you end up making the sheet metal cutout larger to accommodate the larger light?

If you did cut the sheet metal, can you post pics of it?

This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

You need to cut the hole and make it larger. I don't know the measurements exactly, just cut it slowly until it fits. Pretty easy.

Cutting the trunk to fit the light is not very difficult if you have a dremel.

I sold a bunch of these years ago. If memory serves I used a file and shaved off the lower width of the opening. Don't over cut the opening or the carpet will keep pushing the light back out. I believe Dorman has a LED replacement bulb.
