Just removed a well cared for 69k mile 2.8L GT engine from an 85GT. You can see the odometer on the car in my shop that it was removed from to verify the mileage. Last started two weeks ago and it runs fine. When I drained the oil it looked very clean so at that low mileage this engine is a plug and play for anyone needing to replace their 2.8L Recently installed new 8MM Accel spark plug wires. Reason for selling is car is getting an engine swap.
The only thing that the engine needs is a front manifold as it has the common crack. Checked today and both manifolds are sound. Ticking noise was from a leak in the exhaust pipe
Engine is complete and comes with with all accessories$150 complete with the harness ( for a stick)
$100 (less the harness but with everything else)Here are the pictures. If this engine can help someone its a great buy. Heck just the wire set cost $50, the Accel coil $40. Then the exhaust manifolds and the alt bracket will sell. If the engine doesn't sell by next week, I'll just part it out, remove the good parts,sell them junk the block and get perhaps $150- $200
