Hello. Pontiac guy here that came across something I thought might be of interest to Fiero people. I know sometimes it looks bad for someone to join a forum to sell something but I thought I should put it out here anyways. If you want to check me out I have perfect feedback on Ebay (chainboy1) and I have sold things on other forums with no issues. (Solstice forum, JK (jeep) forum, etc) I have had a few Pontiacs with a '67 GTO being my current toy. =)
Anyways on to what I have. My friend bought a Jeep CJ and it had a Pontiac engine in it. Apparently the guy had it set up for dirt drag racing. A Super Duty short block also went with it. My buddy wanted the Jeep, transmission, and overdrive. He didn't care about the engine so I bought it off of him. After he pulled it he decided he wanted to try to see if it would turn over. He hooked up a battery and starter and said it did turn over fine. It was already out of the Jeep though and without a test stand he couldn't actually try to run it so not sure how it would run as is. I expect it probably needs to be gone through.
The SD (part number 10027634) has a SD Pontiac crank, part number 10027777. From what I could find this part number came as a raw forging to be custom ground. Checking the stroke with a scale it looks to be right around 3.625. Does have H beam rods and pistons, everything spins free.
The engine does not have a SD block. 10009542-4 is the casting number on the block. It has an aluminum Pontiac SD head, number 10038433 running Crane roller rockers. The intake is an Edelbrock dual carb, Pontiac SD 10038471. Can't find a lot about the intake and from what I can see I take it this is fairly rare. It is for dual 4 barrels but right now it has a couple 2 barrels with adapter plates. They are Holley's, 6425 (650CFM) and a 4412 (500CFM).
Any questions on anything just ask. Asking $2500 OBO for everything. I live near Pittsburgh if anyone is interested in checking it out. Can get more pictures upon request.
