I have a 4 speed Muncie I picked up over the summer for my V8 Fiero that has a 5 speed. I bought it as a spare, to swap to 4 speed, but I am trying to clean up the garage of the "seemed like a good idea at the time" stuff.
I am in the northwest burbs of Chicago- Crystal Lake. Not interest in shipping it.
PO said it had 40K on it. Reputable source in the NIFE community.
Would be willing to trade for a hood that already has a cool hood scoop glassed into it.
Should be worth a couple hundred $$ ????

If this is the MY8 economy version put me in for first dibs.

I searched in tech under Muncie, and found a very detailed post from NJD85GT in building a hybrid M8Y/M17 trany (very well done by the way!).
It looks like the final drive ratio of 3.32 revs of the input shaft = 1 of the drive axel is the desired ratio of the M8Y. I was happy to see this as well. Hopefully it is what you desire(= out of my garage.)
Tonight I tested this and took a video that show the 3.32:1 ratio. Pretty straight forward. I will post it and share the link.
I don't see any number on the case, but it is definitely an earlier one without the strength webbing on the case as explained in the hybrid post.

Do you know what gear is selected in this video? The reason I ask is because the muncies dont have a 1:1 ratio in any gear. However, in 4th gear .81 on the 4.10 fiero muncie trans the .81 * 4.1 = 3.32 So my guess is you have a M19 4.10 final drive muncie
