Probably a dumb question, but how'd you get it outta there in such great shape? I need to take mine out b/c the battery is going up front.

They make spot weld drill bits.. most auto supply stores have them.. any autobody supply will, even h/f has them tho. I have no idea how long that one lst..

I cut it out with a sawzall leaving some extra metal & ground off the spot welds from the back side - was not worried about the car, it was getting crushed the next week. I couldn't let a tray this nice get scrapped.

The Eastwood spot weld bits work pretty good, The Harbor Freight ones are a little brittle but their hand tools have a lifetime warranty

If you don't want to save the tray you could use a air/electric 3" cutoff tool to remove it in pieces & carefully grind away at the top of the remaining
welded pieces spot welds & pry off with a screwdriver
