I believe, and I know someone will chime in if I am wrong lol, that as long as you are looking for the rear wheel, any lace fiero wheel should be the same. The 88 fronts had a different offset because of the suspension, but I am pretty sure the rears were the same. This should open your market up a little and shouldn't be to hard to find.

The 87 15x7 lace wheels are not the same as the 88 15x7 lace wheels.
The location of the air valve is different.

On 88, the valve stem is between the points of the lace pattern.

On pre-87, it's at the point.

Functionally they are interchangeable. It's just that one minor cosmetic change. That may or may not matter to you.

For the most part true. Some early 88s had black painted 86-87 rims. My one, low mile, Formula, #1124 for 1988 had these and still has the original Goodyear Eagle GT +4s on them. I actually got grief for this in Tech Spec at the 30th.

I am aware of the offset, hence I am trying to re-place a REAR black 88 rim, if possible, for my daily driver Formula. I will have painted if necessary.

You hit the nail on the head. Some early 88s came with "non-88" wheels. That's not uncommon when there's a year to year change like that. For originality it's important to not only know the year changes, but what your particular car was delivered with.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?
