I know in the past at least one person cut up a space frame so they could scrap it out. I'm looking for the steel body section under the shifter. I have an idea on making a gated shifter and I'd like to play with that. Only real way I can do that is to have a steel body section here. Can be torched out etc. Like from the face of the radio back to the start of the glove box.

Not to highjack the thread, but if someone is already cutting in the interior, I could really use the passenger floor pan area, including the rear seat bracket with seat studs. Please!

I wish I had known. A few months ago, I cut up the frame of an '87 base model and gave the parts to a guy down the street to add to his scrap metal pile. I have another one that I am just starting to cannibalize and should have it stripped down to the chassis by April.

Dang it! i could have gven you the whole leftover frame from Johns parts car but sadly its off to gibsons auto wrecking. I would call them I bet that section with them cutting out would only be 50 or less and your only a hour away so worth the drive plus they have 4 88's out there for you to grab the other parts you were looking for a while back.

I've got a car I'm cutting up for the scrap. Are you still in need of the center section?

I hoping to get this steel section yet. I'll donate some $$ or a few parts for it.
