Hey guys,
So i recently bought a 87 Fiero Se. It sat for around 12 years and has neither been driven or moved. All the electrics are working and the engine WOULD work and also cranks. If i spray brake cleaner in the air intake it (barely) runs. I figured out, that the fuel pump does not make a sound when turning the key and there is not output at the ALDL terminal from the pump (Also, when i ground it). I do not think that the Pump is not working, its more likely that it is not getting electricity. I hope u guys have Ideas, because i already tested the realys and they look fine, So thank u guys in advance
LG Lukas

When you apply 12v to the fuel pump terminal of the ALDL port, you are bypassing the relay. If the fuel pump doesn't spin, I'm afraid you'll be dropping the tank to replace the pump.

If it helps... here are two videos on how to remove the fuel tank, and then another to replace the sending unit and re-install the tank:

I did this exact thing last week on my project 88 😂 make sure you siphon as much gas out as you can to make the fuel tank drop down easier. The videos linked here were pretty helpful to me dropping my fuel tank and replacing the pump. My pump fired up after I replaced it and the connector at the pump. Be careful down under the car as well. Those hoses are really scrunched together and are rough to work with. I cut my hands up pretty bad reconnecting everything.
