had to replaced both rear calipers and parking brake cables on my 84. when I tried to adjust the cables the passengers side parking brake feels like its holding, but the drivers side isn't. when I release the parking brake handle the passengers side releases like normal but the drivers side feels like the parking brake is set now . I'm wondering if I got a bad drivers caliper or is there something I did wrong maybe?

Are the parking brake levers moving equally?

Hi, my daughter literally just finished a video on completely restoring and rebuilding the emergency brake system... maybe this video will help:

How to Restore the Fiero's Emergency Brake System : Gen Z Garage Episode 39

She goes through adjusting the cables, etc., so you can kind of verify if everything was installed properly.

great timing because i today pulled off the drivers rear wheel well liner looking for my emergency brake cable[thats what we always called them].the po had cut the cable six inches past the coupler and tie strapped it to near the rear bumper.im glad he saved the main cable.he didn't need it with four front calipers on the car. im lucky so far with miminal rust other than some surface rust areas.
