Removed console and the screws that hold it to the rear firewall were missing. I I guess that I could find a screw in my garage to fit but don't want to use a screw on that will enlarge the holes that holds it in place, Does anyone know the right size screw to use? Assume it is a hex head type and 7mm size but really not sure about that. Picking up the parts book tonight and hopefully that will have a clue but does anybody know for sure?

They aren't absolutely necessary. The back of the console will nestle into the firewall recess and as long as you have the front of the console bolted down, it's good. I've been running both my cars without those screws for years with no issues. The console is pretty much captured between the seats so it won't move side to side.

I don't know the thread size, but it's the same screw that holds the rest of the console together.

They use the standard size 7mm head screw w/ integrated washer that almost all the Fiero stuff uses... minus the specialty screws (fascia, gauge pod, etc.). The length is probably 3/4ths of an inch. There's a lot of space behind it, so you won't run into anything.

I can confirm 7mm hex with washer, about 3/4" or maybe 1".
