I have a Fiero with the 2.8L V6 engine. When I start the car, it idles normally for about five minutes, but then the RPMs drop and the engine stalls. If I keep my foot on the accelerator for about a minute after starting, it will eventually settle into a normal idle. However, after driving for around 10 minutes, when I put the car in park, it dies again. Any suggestions?

Beginning to tackle the problem, first measure the fuel pressure. Does it show 40-43 PSI. ? If so then move on to the ignition. Using a spark tester at the coil-does it show a steady spark. ? Are the plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor all in good shape.
Also highly recommend that you purchase the Fiero Store scan tool. By supplying live data, that may help you pinpoint the problem in minutes
