Hello

Was trying to change my AC orifice tube. Can someone confirm which nuts to loosen? Only the aluminum tube part, or also the other end with the rubber hose?

Also, are there seals that should also be changed when loosening this tube to change the orifce?

thanks

This photo is from Pennocks. Mine is an 88 GT, looks similar but not the same.

Interesting question.

Do not trust my advice but I believe the seals should be replaced an they are "o" rings, the green colored ones.

Here's a pic of the part you'll remove. The orifice pulls out from the right-hand side.

There are O-rings on each side, so either roll the dice on reusing, or replace. (I'd replace)

I say always repalce the o-rings. Apparently all modern o-rings are now of adequate rubber quality but using the green ones assure they are appropriate for the task. Also use Nylog (aka “snot”) on the o-ring to ensure a good seal.
