I can find no consistent pattern as to when but here is what happens. It will start, immediately die. Starts again, idle swings rapidly from 1500 to 300 a few times then it dies again. Starts again, drive and runs fine. Regardless of how it starts it always runs great and idles fine. May do it in a week, may do it on the next start. Within the last 5,000 miles it has had the IAC, wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, pickup coil, timing set, fuel filter and Rodney's vacuum lines.

Thanks for any advice.

It also wouldn’t hurt to check your coolant sensor. I’ve had mine go bad at one time and it gave me bizzare idle/starting issues. Also, since you said it’s sometimes intermittent, you would be wise to check all electrical connections for corrosion. (this includes sensor pigtails) When in doubt, assume nothing and suspect everything. 😀 Kit
