I would like to build an ALDL cable by myself, as the shipping costs to Europe are very expensive or US dealers do not ship to the EU......

Unfortunately, I can't find a wiring diagram for the ALDL cable with USB connection. Serial yes, but no guide with USB plug.

The cable plan should cover both baud rates.

Any help is welcome!

Hello, thanks for your answer. The page shows the serial cable connection, bur not the USB connection. That's my problem.

I already check a lot of pages and found only serial solutions.

If you're still looking for info, perhaps contact forum member Romsk and see if he can provide you with any info on the matter.

The Rx and tx leads go to the m spot on the aldl and the ground goes to ground. Make sure the jumper is on 5v. Use tunerpro.net . https://www.gearhead-efi.co...0-ECM-Information-24

@jdv
I bought the mentioned adapter and also a "12pin to 16pin" adapter and cut the 16pin connector.
on the 12pin plug are 4 cable

yellow to pin K
green to pin M
red to pin G
black to pin A

Based on the thread of Paul Romsky has the ALDL following pins:

Could you confirm that the data stream comes from ALDL pin M? Means 8192baud? Or from pin E, 160baud?

Based on above picture pin E is the data stream. Or i'm wrong?

I've "built" a cable/voltage converter for an RS232 adapter years ago to check things live like coolant temp, etc. Can look for my older topics.

This was on an '85 duke auto with AC.

Was 160 baud 100%.
