| quote | The left side blinkers work properly inside and out. The right side doesn’t / turn on the lights on the outside. |
|
This means the turn flasher is good
{maybe not as I learned below} because it uses the
same voltage path for the right-side blinkers.
| quote | When I turn on the hazard lights they work {meaning the left AND right blinkers } |
|
The hazard uses another flasher and by-passes the turn flasher
If ALL THE BULBS {in & out} are flashing when the hazard switch is ON - this means that ALL the circuits/paths are GOOD.
Note: The Hazard Switch also
by-passes the Left and Right Turn Switches
The
only other circuits/paths are the Left/Right Switches...
| quote | olejoedad: Sounds like either the multifunction switch in the column or a wire coming from the column. |
|
The multifunction switch {Turn Hazard Switch Assembly} has THREE Switches:
Left Turn Switch, Right Turn Switch and the Hazard Switch
Both Turn Switches are Double-Pole Double-Throw and I bet your Right Turn Switch is dead...
If you have the service manual; the schematic is under "Exterior Lights: Turn/Hazard/Etc." at the back {Section 8A}

EDITI saw/read a
long turn signal thread which the hazard worked; one signal will work; the other signal didn't. The problem was solved by replacing the
turn flasher! As the turn flasher is cheap, my suggestion is to try replacing the turn flasher to see if it is
your problem or not...

IF replacing the turn flasher didn't help; the next step is to clean/test the Turn Hazard Switch Assembly CONNECTOR
