So as most of us know the Fieros fuel pickup doesn't pick up fuel from the bottom of the tank. So my question is can you either make the sending unit pick up fuel all the way from the bottom or is there a way to make it so the fuel level sensor accurately reads?

You can take the sending unit out and use a multimeter to measure as you move the float up and down. There is a fix to cleanup and solder the wirecoil the float touches, but doing so you can get the output to match the expected values. Mine was wildly out and I performed the fix about 10 years ago. Its as accurate as any other car I have driven at this point now.

Although the pictures aren't there, this post sums it up in better detail than my faded memory.

the level sender is either a fierostore kit, what the other person sent or what ronald finger did.
any of those will work fine its your choice. personally i dont trust any fuel gauge below half and on gms i dont trust them at all and assume the worst (thanks squarebodys)
