1. I removed the luggage rack from my 86 GT and now need to fill the holes left by the mounting screws. Is there a process or material people recommend? Is the decklid SMC?
2. The body panels on my doors are wavy. I have seen Fiero's with beautiful straight lines. Does anyone want to share the secret process for making the door panels straight?
Thanks in advance, Dan |

Hi Dan, I recently went through this to an extent... so I'm sharing my thread with you:
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/148149.htmlBasically, there's four different things... SMC, RIM, RRIM, and something else. This is the diagram posted in the other thread:

You use different products for the different panels. I don't want to re-repeat it, but check out that thread I linked. Basically, I used the flexible stuff on the decklid, by accident (didn't know any better)... because it said for SMC, but it's really for RIM. The SMC stuff is really a type of fiberglass, and is treated the same, so you would use SMC resin... but check out the thread. You see in this post specifically (within the thread), that the green stuff was the wrong thing to ue:
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/.../HTML/148149.html#p9I ended up having to dig all of that out. You would use that green stuff on your door, but the SMC resin (with fiberglass chop cloth) would need to be used to fill the holes.
