Looks good but just remember to apply sealant to the bolt or bolts that go into the water jacket or you will have a leak. Also highly recommend that you tape a plastic garbage bag over the fiberglass in the engine compartment where you work near the water pump. If not you will get itchy.
Its also good to use new bolts (if the old ones came out rusty) when replacing the pump. You could probably get by with standard hex head bolts but be sure to torque to specifications.

Just one water pump bolt requires any sealant.

This is the self-explaining diagram that I use to remind myself which bolt it is.

Whenever I've bought a auto parts store rebuilt pump (your $20 special) they've always come with that timing cover clamp. TBH I don't think I ever used it but never had a problem. Maybe it's different in Sweden as to not coming with the clamp, but I imagine the parts come from the same place we get them here.

At last. Man that M8 Torx bolt was stuck and no room to work at all. A big pipe wrench did the job...

No clamp included, I made my own from some iron bars. Similar to Rodney Dickmans.

Next step, try to remove the plug from the old pump and remove the pipe from the new to be able to plug it and then cleaning of the gaskets.
Must get me some new screws to replace the torx ones.

I managed to get the old plug from my old pump loose.
Now I am trying to remove the pipe from the new pump, anyone who has some suggestion in how to do this?
I have applied heat and much force but it wont budge at all.

Normally the pipe has male threads into the pump; but I don't see the last threads on your pipe.

Perhaps *this* pipe doesn't have threads...soldered in?

It's not soldered but seems like some kind oy glue, relatively hard. I feel that I give up and go for an end plug instead.
I found some reinforced silicone plugs 20mm that I ordered from ali.

You might be better off using this style of plug in the end of the pipe.

Good idea, I'll think I will put both this and the reinforced end plug..

That'll definitely work... if you do that, that thing will NEVER leak. The pipe would burst at the welded seam before it managed to get anything out the end!
