Hey Guys so far I do like the sound of a flowmaster muffler on a V6 Fiero. For the guys who have done it curious what Flowmaster muffler you went with? Part number?

I used a Camaro crossflow Flowmaster with 3" inlet and 2 1/2" outlets.

The exhaust tips mimic the stock exhaust with larger than stock stainless steel megaphones supplied by a motorcycle accessories store, in the stock locations. Flowmaster 80 Series #43083, currently $150.

The Flowmaster muffler is a very tight fit on the Fiero with the V6 engine. If you want a smaller case muffler that sounds similar Spintech can build you the perfect size/perfect fit.. Neither muffler will give you more power than the stock system. Herb Adams did the test years back and found the only improvement in power was done by porting the exhaust manifolds.

On ebay just look up-- 'Fiero Spintec Muffler' . Sounds good, not ricey. Almost identical in size to the OE. Does not have hangers so unless you are able to weld on your own, take it to a muffler shop.

Thanks for the info the ocelot system would be the easiest but love the hollow flowmaster/spintech sound. I like how the spintech is smaller and has 2" inlet and outlets

The "easiest" might not achieve the hollow sound we love, but it is worth the extra effort, to get the results you are wanting to hear. Link below for a minute of cold idle sounds.

Just checked out the current price on the Spintech Fiero muffler. Its $190 and thats a pretty steep price, Jones exhaust also makes a neat crossflow muffler and its about $62.

Here ya go:

Might need a few reducers to fit your application but the price at $62 is right.

or try this: Jones Crossflow Mufffler
Body length is 13" just like the OEM Fiero.
