I recently received a clutch and brake pedal assembly from an eBay seller. It was terribly packaged, and very dirty. I wouldn’t have minded if a plastic rod by the clutch pedal was not snapped.

I worry that this is the piece that triggers the master cylinder. The plastic piece that the plastic rod connects to has a plug in…I think this is to allow to car to start once the clutch is pushed in? I’m doing an auto to manual swap so maybe I wouldn’t need that piece anyway.

I just wanted to ask here to make sure. Should I be worried if this plastic piece is broken?

Forgive me I’m still learning some aspects of how the actual clutch hydraulic system works. It came broken so it was hard to tell what it was meant to do. By your response I’m going to assume it has nothing to do with it
