I want something a little more comfortable for my 88 GT. They are ok, but are not very supportive.

Was wondering what is out there that can be made to fit without a ton of modifications? I can weld as well if need be.

Anyone got examples of non-Fiero seats you have installed in your Fiero?

Thanks!

One of the problems I had to deal with on my 85 SE V6 was the seat (after 25 years) was "Too low".....There was also a tear in the side bolster.....got a passenger seat cover in good shape from JY and pulled seat to have a friend install it. Looking at the bottom of the seat- it was apparent that the foam bottom had separated from the metal pan and was sagging. My friend installed some web-straps across the bottom of the seat pan which solved the problem.

Might be something to look into....

Also, the back has a zipper at the bottom- I opened it and stuffed a folded towel in there for more back-support.

I've used 4th gen Camaro seats, corvette seats, and a set out of a 95 gtp and a 2001 grand prix, but the best seats I've found for a fiero have been a 84 indy seat and non worn out 86 seats. I do recommend taking your seat out and fixing the foam supports (bits of wire basically or make a plate to cover it) also if your seat adjustment wire that goes between the tracks or looks brittle now is a great time to grab 16? gauge hot wire (electric fence wire spools) and make a new much stronger one.
I've redone these seats on a very strict budget of 10 dollars and it made all the difference. I need to make a post on how to repair and make them better for cheap soon.

Nobody has mentioned S10 / Sonoma seats. I believe they'll fit just fine, using the Fiero tracks.

What year was it and how hard was it to adapt the Fiero rails to them?

Whatever years the 987 were made. They're all the same. It was extremely easy. I just cut the factory mounts off until I got to a spot to weld on the Fiero rails. It was a perfect fit.

I have had these mid 80s C4 Corvette seats in a couple of Fieros since 2004ish. You don't sit on these seats, you sit in them and they hug you tight.

i just installed cavalier seats last weekend.i bolted them in using the fiero mounts.you don't need the cavalier mounts.they are a little taller so now im looking through the center of the windshield instead of over the wipers.make sure to get them from a two door or they won't tilt forward.remove the seat belt loop before installing.it hits the car.
