finally got a new parking brake cable from the lever back to the rest and discovered a weird thing these do which is the arm moves very very little to fully lock them on. also when the brake is pressed they force their way forward even more which is starting to explain why we might be getting poor fuel economy as the brakes are quite hard to turn on the rear no matter what, this might be normal? but the 84 project doesn't do this and I'm wondering if I'm missing springs for these

The pre-88 brakes and the 88 brakes do not adjust in the same manner.

not adjusting them. but I found out the rear parking brake springs are required no matter what so I've ordered them
