The actuator plunger broke off on the located @ drivers side pillar frame. Fiero Store does not list part number for sale.

Went to NAPA and the counter person could not locate the switch either..

Here is a picture of the part. 15mm nut. single wire connector Threads to ground





Replaced switch 15 years ago but do not have a part number to search for

Any help would be appreciated..

E2A--> The Hood and early Trunk use have other type I pictured above to Turn On lights in either spots when have those Options and to Turn On the Ajar Light too.

I believe only 84-85 Fiero has those. Someone with an 84-85 parts car could help.
On my Indy, it is the "door ajar" switch located on the rear door frame above the striker bolt.
Later cars had the ajar switch incorporated on the door lock mechanism itself in the door.

The Indy's "courtesy light" door jamb switch is in the forward door jamb.
That's what everyone is posting, but they may be usable too.

I see... I Rarely see 84-85 car to look at them.
Is likely a "fancy" jam switch to prevent snags on cloth etc.

The Jam Switch I linked works the same but May Not fit there. Not sure if the Nut will clear right even if the Sleeve adjust correctly first time you shut the door.

The switch is black so it blends in with the black door frame.
And the smooth plunger prevents clothing snags as you suggested.

NW-Fiero's best bet is parts from someone with an 84-85 parts car. Lots around.
He should post a "looking for" ad in The Mall.

Nearest wrecker to him is in Lynnwood, WA (430 miles is to me, not him)
