I just happened to notice one of the wires of my decklid on my 86GT corroded off and it looks like it could have come off from one of 2 different places. It's the wire to the right of the blue crimped piece. Can anyone tell me if that what is what it connects to, or does it connect to the little white plastic junction part above that? Also is that just a ground that broke off?

TIA

This is the only thing that should be connected from the wire clamp.

It looks like someone added another filter because of engine noise or alternator whine through the stereo. The factory "plate" that is attached to the decklid is the only thing you usually need.

Or more likely a tilt switch for alarm or trunk light.
One splice is "Vampire tap" to ground whatever w/o cutting other wire.
