Ok, so between a 4 wheel caliper/ rotors/ pads/ master cylinder/ new e-brake cables install... a better dash gauge pod ...to fixing my sunroof... the Fiero is currently bleeding my wallet pretty good. I ask this question because a new oil sender will set me back almost another hundred bucks, and I'm about broke:

My oil pressure sender is leaking some. I don't like it, I have a clean engine otherwise. It works fine. Can I pull it, clean off the threads and reinstall with new threadlock? Also is there any other type of seal it has, like an o ring or gasket, that can be fouled and needs to be replaced?

I have an oil change coming this week and should reinstall/replace at the same time as pulling the filter.

It's an 86 iron duke..thanks in advance for any info, tips and pointers.

The Leak is likely a dead sender and will empty the pan if ignored.
Can even Work until you have no oil.
Leak is diaphragm "blow out" and can't fix.

New "old style" senders will do same and likely soon.

Upgrade to 88 sender.
They fail too but not like the old type.

New Sender/Sensors often have pre applied thread sealer.
After use 1 time, clean threads and use nondry pipe sealer. Like have to remove Oil sender to remove Duke Lifters w/o removing the intake man etc.
