I have an 87GT and I'm doing a 3800/F23 Swap. I need advice on cables for the shift correction bracket from Thelin that I plan to use. Thelin suggested I purchase the cables from California Push and Pull, but I'm not sure what to ask for. I think I need a standard shift/select cable for the F23, but do I need two different fittings on the end? Thelin told me that there are two cables, one 72 inches and the other 64 inches. I'm not sure if it matters which is which or if the select and shift cables are the same. When I asked California Push and Pull, they said the standard F23 shift cable is 74" OA and the 5 speed select cable is 71.7" OA. They asked if I wanted the cables at 72" and 64" respectively. I'm wondering if I can just buy the standard F23 cables and route them along the firewall to get rid of some extra slack. Is the shift correction bracket the best way to route my cables?
