Hello

I found a reasonably priced Gen V blower. My car currently has a Series III NA block, Series II supercharger, Full stack ZZP Intercooler. 3.0 pulley

Is there any tangible benefit to the newer blower, other than the 20 HP gain? Will it work with my existing intercooler?

Since my block is N/A, my compression is higher than the SC blocks, so I need to keep this in mind and not go too crazy with boost to avoid issues with pre ignition.

Is this upgrade worth the hassle?

thx

Any thoughts on this? Is it worth upgrading to Series III Blower? I would like a bit more power, and am hoping the Series III blower will also run cooler... and hopefully sound even more cool! I love the supercharge whine when I hit the gas...

Cam, the only thing I can suggest is that you PM a couple of the SC guys on the forum. You might get faster response that way.

The Eaton Gen V supercharger has a slightly different bolt pattern than the Gen III supercharger. You will most likely need the late 04-06 manifold to change over. The Gen V does run cooler and although the cubic inch displacement is the same it will produce more boost. On my setup with a 3.4" pulley (intercooler needed) it puts out 11 psi of boost. The engine is very fast and powerful. You slam that pedal down and the power is instantaneous.

Thanks Dennis

I bit the bullet and bought a brand new (0 mileage) Gen V blower on eBay... will be ordering the 2.5 full stack intercooler from ZZP as well.

Need to find out if the LIM is the same for Series III NA as it is for Series III S/C, because I need to find one of those too

Also need to find out if the adapter plate with my Northstar TB for Series II blower will work with Series III blower.
