Socket size for knuckle nut/bolts? by Decaffrican

largest size sockets I have atm are 21mm. Asking for a friend so I can borrow a deepwell socket to get my CV axle out and put in a new one.

Undo the 30 mm axle nut, tie-rod end joint, and ball joint instead. Then, you can swing the strut away and disengage the axle splines.

This way, the car's alignment is preserved, because you're not messing with the strut-to-knuckle bolts.

Yes the strut to knuckle bolts do hold the alignment and I believe that is a good idea to also not touch the top strut bolts.
